MTN, the leading mobile telecommunications company, has postponed the implementation of increased Mobile Money fees.
The new fees, which included a 1% charge on transactions up to GH¢2,000 and a flat rate of GH¢20 for transactions above that amount, were scheduled to take effect on July 1. However, MTN has announced that the planned review of cash-out fees for MoMo has been put on hold indefinitely.
The current cash-out fee of GH¢10 will continue to apply and be charged to users' wallets. MTN Ghana apologized for any inconvenience caused and urged users to "Just MoMo it."
