A pedestrian, Akua Serwaa, lost her life when a trailer truck carrying second-hand clothes collided with her. The truck reportedly failed to brake and crashed into a parked taxi before hitting the victim who was selling cabbages on the roadside. Eyewitnesses described how the truck lost control and ran into traders who were hawking in the area.
Akua Serwaa, a 51-year-old resident of Antoa in the Kwabre East District, relied on selling cabbages at Dr. Mensah Market to make a living. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, May 4, 2023, has left the victim's family, the community, and all those who knew her in mourning.
